How to Choose an Edible: A Few Helpful Hints
How to Choose an Edible: A Few Helpful Hints
Eating Versus Smoking
Edibles can affect the body much differently than smoking cannabis. Unlike smoking, eating an edible passes through the digestive system and can take longer to kick in.
Edibles 101
Choosing an edible depends on the desired effect. Pay attention to the THC content. If you want something non-psychoactive, choose a CBD-only edible.
Macrodosing
Know your tolerance levels. Even for the seasoned cannabis user, it’s easy to go overboard.
Be cautious of mixing alcohol with cannabis. Drinking may increase THC levels.
Keep a CBD edible on hand to help offset high THC levels, just in case.
Microdosing
Ease on in. Newbies should stick to going “low and slow" and start with a smaller dosage, like a 5mg mint.
