A bill to limit the THC content of medical marijuana for patients in Florida is on its way to the Florida House floor.
The new marijuana bill was approved by the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday to limit the potency of marijuana flowers to 10% THC.
This comes less than a month after Governor Ron DeSantis pushed for, fast tracked and signed into law smokable whole flower medical marijuana.
The bill sounds great on the surface. The House is proposing to waive the card fee for veterans. In order to get this concession, this has to be agree to:
A proposed amendment by Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith to allow medical marijuana to treat opioid addiction was rejected by the committee.
As has been proven before, this is a passionate topic among the people, and the mob does get angry. Marijuana advocates and patients have been angered by the proposed cap, letting it be known during the meeting. The consensus of those testifying were higher THC marijuana would be beneficial to patients.
It’s not about the high, it’s about the heal.
